Work/Experience

Marching Band Percussion TECH/Private lesson Instructor

• TECH experience at Harlan High School, 2 years under Steven Partida (Assistant Percussion Director).

• One year of teaching private lessons at the high school level.

​UTSA Percussion Studio Member/Secretary Officer​

• 8 semesters of larger ensemble work with UTSA's Symphonic Band, University Band, and Orchestra.

• 8 semesters of university private lessons and 3 semesters with UTSA's Percussion Ensemble.

College Marching Experience

• 2 semesters with the Spirit of San Antonio playing bass, snare, and marimba/front ensemble fundamentals.

• 4 years of UTSA Indoor Percussion 22, 23, 24, 25.​

PASIC 24 - I had the opportunity to participate in the UTSA Percussion ensemble to compete at the convention.

Current Status 

• I am attending UTSA in my 4th year in music education, and recently completed my senior recital. For the past 4 years, I have been a member of the UTSA competitive Indoor percussion ensemble. This activity is an intense, rewarding experience that combines musicianship, athleticism, and theatrical performance. I have gained most of my knowledge in athletic percussion while being a part of this ensemble. I played snare for the past three years and bass drum in my first year. I need to build upon my knowledge of teaching tenors, but I have a strong foundation when it comes to marching and movement.

• My training in the percussion studio is innovative, and my professors have pushed me to embrace my creativity, leading me to premiere my original composition, Theme Shatter (vib+cajon trio).

• I am now completing my clinical teaching at South West Legacy High School
